I’ve always loved writing (and reading!)

I write for clients and publications and creatively.

Background

I’m British and live in Brussels with my husband and two young children.

Prior to becoming a freelance writer, I worked in communications for an international public affairs consultancy, and in policy roles for the EU and UK civil service. I have also served as a local councillor for the Belgian green party, Ecolo-Groen.

Qualifications

My writing qualifications include courses in creative writing from UEA/National Centre for Writing, and a diploma in Freelance and Feature Writing from the London School of Journalism. 

I studied Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge University, graduating with first class honours. I hold an MA in International Relations with distinction from the University of Sussex and a certificate in economics from the Open University.

As well as my native English, I speak fluent French, intermediate Dutch, and Spanish. I translate from French to English and am a qualified English language teacher (CELTA).
